Dave WebbDave has held numerous international academic and industry positions in Germany, the Far East, the United States and the United Kingdom together with an executive position at a management consultancy firm in South Africa. He is currently Senior Lecturer at the University of Western Australia. While his research is varied, his primary interests lie in Macromarketing focussing in particular on quality of life (QOL), the natural environment, and the psychology of consumption. Among others, Dave is both Vice President of Academic Affairs (2007) and on the Board of Directors (2005, 2007) for the International Society for Quality of Life Studies (ISQOLS), a member of the Environment and Society research centre at UWA, the senior Personal Well-Being (PWB) researcher for the Tibetan regions in Western China, Co-editor of the Religion, Spirituality and Quality of Life section of the Applied Journal for Research in Quality of Life Studies (USA) and, the founder/director of the Tibetan Support Programme (TSP), a non-political, non-religious entity established in Perth in 2003 in association with the Australian Foundation for the Peoples of Asia and the Pacific Ltd. (AFAP). David was an award winning MBA student at a top Business School in the United Kingdom and in 1995 he completed his Doctoral studies in the area of Social psychology. Dave has published over 50 journal and conference papers and he has presented internationally on a wide range of topics. David is a Fellow of the Academy of Marketing Science. |
